Today we drove from the WWR to Marakele National Park. In between we had a nice lunch stop at a restaurant along the road. In Marakele we rented a house for 6 people called Waterberg Hideaway. It was 10 minutes away from the entrance of the park and very close to the next town Thabazimbi. We didn`t camp, as it was very cold there.
Last breakfast at the beautiful tented camp.
an ostrich walking in the reserve
This was in the restaurant.
Mike had a big Southafrican breakfast with eggs, bacon, cheese. I had a bad tasting malva pudding.
Waterberg mountains are beautiful. I felt like in Welgevonden, where I made my voluntary job 7 years ago. Later I descovered that Marakele is not as nice as Welgevonden Game Reserve. There are not many roads and it is very difficult to spot animals.
