Today we assisted at a springbock release in Welgevonden. About 120 springbock were released in the Game Reserve. This was the morning before we went to the rhino darting. It was wonderful to see all those little antelopes jumping out of the van.
When the van with the springbock arrived, Armstrong, Greg and Sam climbed on it. They opened the upper part of the van in order to waken the springbock up and to let them move. Then the front door was opened and the springbock left the van. This is always very fascinating to see as you can watch the game from very close.
