From Queenstown we went to Glenorchy, a little town about 40 km away from Queenstown. We followed the paradise road to reach Glenorchy. Lord of the Rings had film locations north of Glenorchy. Glenorchy is located at the other end of lake Wakatipu.
This hut has been rebuild. In former times the red hud close to the lake was filled by the people of Glenrchy with goods that were shipped to Queenstown.
