I couldn`t help with the bird ringing. I had to be at a school conference in my school in Germany, unfortunately. The other volunteers helped Kevin, the reserve manager and a qualified bird ringer, with the monthly bird banding on the property . The information gathered allows for keeping track of the movements of the bird and its life. It is a wonderful way to see and photograph up close these beautiful little creatures. Kevin puts a ring on each bird`s leg.
